Credentialing SLA response calculator
Business hours remaining on a credentialing ticket. Clock stops on facility holidays if your SOP says so — this does not.
Response SLAs for vendor credentialing tickets
Vendor credentialing teams often commit to a response time for tickets such as a new rep application, a document update, or an access request. This SLA response calculator shows how many business hours are left before a ticket breaches its target. Browse the free tools hub for related checks.
How to use this SLA response calculator
Enter the SLA in business hours and the business hours already elapsed. The calculator shows the hours remaining, or a negative number once the ticket has breached. It does not pause for facility holidays, so leave those hours out if your SOP stops the clock. Then pair it with the rep onboarding checklist, the COI coverage gap checker, and the vendor-file audit sample size calculator.

How to read the result
A positive result is the business hours left before breach. A negative result means the ticket has breached; follow your escalation path.
Hours checked — next is tracking every credentialing ticket against its SLA automatically. Talk to a pilot team about operationalizing it at your hospital or ASC.
FAQ
- How does this SLA response calculator work?
- It subtracts the business hours already elapsed from the SLA in business hours. A positive result is the time left; a negative result means the ticket has breached.
- What counts as business hours?
- Whatever your team’s SOP defines, typically the hours the credentialing team is staffed. Count only those hours in both fields so the result matches your SLA.
- Does the calculator pause for weekends or holidays?
- No. Enter elapsed business hours only; if your SOP stops the clock on weekends or facility holidays, leave those hours out.
- What should happen when a ticket is close to breaching?
- Escalate under your SOP — for example, flag it to a lead, ask the vendor for missing documents, or reassign it. Watching hours left lets you act before the breach rather than after.
- Is this calculator policy advice?
- No. It is an educational calculator for vendor credentialing and supply chain staff. Your team’s SOP defines the SLA, business hours, and escalation path.
